Sami is an emerging writer, director and producer working and living on Gadigal Land, Sydney. Inspired by the innately weird idiosyncrasies of people and the inherent dark comedy of everyday life, she’s drawn to propulsive narrative storytelling, crafting films that explore complex human relationships, masculinity, and antiheroines. Sami’s works experiment with genre, always with a twist and a considered balance of light and shade.

She has created music videos for artists including VELVET TRIP, JORDAN LASER, THE TERRYS, BAD HOAX, FREDDY CRABS, HAYLEY MARY and STICKY FINGERS. 

In 2025, Sami wrote the Canberra Short Film Festival Best Screenplay-winning short NOT YET directed by Holly Fraser and starring Sara West, Zoe Cardies and Mark Lee. In 2019 she wrote and directed LIFE AFTER LOVE starring Kirin J. Callinan, a short which won Best Film at the Chippo Film Festival.
